Themes	I have been interested in how the discourse on the intimate sphere changed during modernization, and have focused my research on the domestic drama(Bourgeois Tragedy) that was popular in Germany during the Enlightenment. I have been discussing the structural changes in the intimate sphere and the public sphere, as well as the process of change in the political self-consciousness of citizens, in connection with the discourse on gender image and nationalism/cosmopolitanism.
